Mirchi Iconic Puja 2025: Celebrating Guwahati’s Most Spectacular Pandals

Guwahati, October 2025 — The city came alive this Durga Puja as Radio Mirchi Guwahati turned the spotlight on creativity, devotion, and community spirit through Mirchi Iconic Puja 2025 — presented by Amrit Cement, powered by Croma, and hosted with hospitality partner Arista by Ambition.

Aimed at celebrating Guwahati’s most iconic Durga Puja pandals, the initiative added a vibrant new dimension to the city’s festive fervour. On Saptami, RJ Susmita was joined by an eminent panel of judges — Meghranjani Medhi, acclaimed Kathak dancer and actress; Marami Medhi, veteran Kathak exponent and choreographer; and Anushka Lekharu, Femina Miss India Assam 2023. Together, they embarked on an unforgettable pandal-hopping journey across the city — from Geetanagar to Pandu — soaking in the artistic brilliance, intricate themes, and cultural passion that define Durga Puja in Assam’s capital.

After a day of exploration and deliberation, three pandals stood out for their imagination and execution:

  • Geetanagar Durga Puja Committee — for its breathtaking recreation of Thailand’s Wat Arun Temple, blending tradition with global artistry.

  • Athgaon Sarvajanik Durga Puja Samity — for its whimsical and immersive Harry Potter theme, capturing the magic of devotion through pop culture.

  • Kamakhya Nagar Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee — for its thoughtful and sustainable concept, “Eco-friendly Motherhood.”

These committees will soon be felicitated by Radio Mirchi, honouring their creativity, craftsmanship, and the community spirit that makes Guwahati’s Durga Puja truly iconic.
